A helicopter has crashed killing Colin McRae, the former world rally driving champion, his five-year-old son, and two family friends.The aircraft burst into flames after it came down near McRae's family home in Scotland yesterday afternoon, killing Mcrae, 39, his son Johnny, six-year-old Ben Porcelli and Graeme Duncan, 37.

McRae was the World Rally champion in 1995 and runner-up in 1996, 1997 and 2001.

He won 25 races in a World Rally Championship career that ran from 1987 to 2004
