Edward Eddie Stobart, managing director of Carlisle haulage firm Eddie Stobart Ltd for more than 30 years, has passed away due to heart problems, aged 56.
The Cumbrian-born businessman passed away in hospital yesterday after suffering a suspected heart attack. He was 56.

He was the driving force behind the creation of Eddie Stobart as the county’s biggest business brand, earning the Carlisle-based company its reputation as Britain’s ‘kings of the road’ and securing its cult following.
people enjoyed spotting all the girl's wagon's he named every wagon after a girls name.

Our sincere condolences are with his wife Mandy and his children,and all the family,and Eddies workmates, friend's around the world.
