I am Evelyn's ....
Evelyn Guthery, 80, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday, March 27, 2010 at her residence.
Born December 5, 1929 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Roy and Maude (Thompson) Guthery.
Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Newberry Eastern Star and the Newberry United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Judy Edelman of Bloomfield; one son, Larry Guthery of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren, Eric (Brandy) Edelman of Linton, Cory (Becca Strange) Edelman and Christopher Edelman both of Terre Haute, Dale (Michelle Queen) Guthery, Danielle Guthery and Shannon Guthery, all of Iowa, and Amanda Guthery and Jessica Guthery both of Houston, Texas; two great grandchildren, Brylyn Evelyn and Kaylye Ane; one sister, Erma Hensley of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston E. "Gene " Guthery, on February 3, 1981, one son, Dale E. Guthery, nine brothers and sisters and her parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Steve Dunkel officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
Donations may be made to the Newberry United Methodist Church in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
