Former NBA All-Star Mike Mitchell died June 9th 2011, following a long battle with cancer. A first round pick by Cleveland in 1978, the fan favorite spent 10 seasons in the NBA, the final six and a half with San Antonio. Mitchell was 55.

Mike Mitchell, who played 10 seasons for the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs, died Thursday after a struggle against cancer.
The former Auburn star Mike Mitchell fought the desease for 2 years,but sadly died in San Antonio Texas
Mike was well respected by all.
