A hero dad died after saving his 10-year-old daughter in a horrific hit and run smash.
Wayne was a brilliant dad and doted on Amie. They were inseparable
Wayne Leary, 38, suffered serious head injuries after being struck by the speeding car on Oldham Road, Failsworth.
Seconds earlier Mr Leary, Oldham, pushed his daughter Amie, who is 11 today, to safety.
Mr Leary was taken to Salford Royal Hospital following the smash on Saturday night but died on Sunday.
The driver failed to stop and the car, a Kia Picanto, was later found abandoned further up the road.
Mr Leary's brother Jason, 35, said: It makes us proud that Wayne's last action was stopping Amie from being hurt.
